The Wise Words Of Buddha and Confucious

A fool who thinks himself a fool is much better than the fool who thinks himself wise.

Birth is difficult, life is hard, truth comes with difficulty, and rare is the yoke of buddha.

Knowing divine truth for one day is better than living 100 years without the sublime.

When you face misfortune, keep your mind tranquil and free from hindrances.

When you are in a crowd, your mind should be in the company of the wise.

May sleep refresh your mind, body and speech, and bestow clarity.

Purify your heart, cultivate good, and seperate from evil.

Hatreds never cease. Only love can quench the fire.

Your life is a gift and alone your responsiblity.

For a true offering, one must forget the gift, the reciever, and oneself as the giver.

7 offerings are service, compassion, warm glance, smile, kind words, one's seat, and shelter.

The need to relieve yourself is like the desire to discharge greed, anger and ignorance.

Things arise from several causes and conditions. Do not hold others in light esteem.

Realize an undisturbed happiness that quietly illuminates all your surroundings.

Keep your mind peaceful and look upon others with compassion.

Awaken interest in enlightenment and teach all equally.

Cherish humility and express uniform kindness.

The greatest victory is finding self mastery.

A right mind is as easy to lose as a deer in the forest.

An evil mind is as hard to remove as letters carved in stone.

Confucius said, "Review what you learned and keep learning, to be a good teacher."

"To study and not think is a waste. To think and not study is dangerous."

"If I hear Tao in the morning, in the evening I can die content."

"A shih set on the way, but ashamed of old clothing

and plain food is not worth consulting."

"A neighborhood is made beautiful by its humaneness.

If you live in an  inhumane place, how can wisdom grow?"
