Welcome to Parramatta City Raceway

Crash Crew Website

 About us

The P.C.R crash crew consists of 16 disciplined and dedicated volunteers that are trained in fire fighting, first aid and driver extraction.I consider the P.C.R crash crew to be the best in Australian Speedway at this time and I am proud to be able to work with them.                                                                                                                      As crash crews all over Australia would realize our job is not a job that receives a lot of thanks or thought from promoters, track owners, competitors or the general public until things go wrong, part of the reason for this site is to try and change the way people think about crash crews and volunteers that are at every motor racing circuit all over Australia, every weekend, there are members of the Parramatta crash crew that have been doing the job for over 20 years, yet most people would not know what they looked like.                                                                                                                                          Speedway racing teams are getting more and more professional all the time, so should crash crews, to that end the P.C.R crash crew never stops training, once a level of training has been completed we move up to the next level, be it at the Caltex oil refinery for fire training or at Parramatta speedway with the local paramedic rescue squad, for training in stabilizing a driver and driver extraction, what ever the type of training, we do it so we can react with safety, care and confidence in any given situation.                                                                                                           When things go wrong drivers do hope and expect that crash crews know what they are doing to help them in what ever way is required and at P.C.R they get that, because of the training and confidence the crash crew have , unfortunately not enough people seem to care or notice, with your help we can change that and exchange idea's that could help crash crews, drivers, teams and promoters.  .                                                                                                                             If we all work together by exchanging idea's, working in with each other (race teams, management, crash crews) raise our Professionalism, learn from each other and have a bit of fun along the way, we could all help this sport we all love, SPEEDWAY.
