She lived with her mother in a small village but her mother grew sick when she was 5 and eventually died. At the time of her mother's death, her father found her and took her in to live with him and his pack. Her father was trying to find a male successor who could be Destiny's mate (Wolves mate for life). Destiny was engaged on her 6th birthday to another male only a year or two older than her. But the two of them never really got along, nor did they really talk considering most children didn't want to associate with a hanyou, even if she was the only daughter of the alpha. A few months after her engagement, her pack had killed a small family because the man of the family was a wolf hunter. She saved the young boy and helped him escape, but later, when Destiny was 8, he came back and destroyed her pack while she was gone with her fiancee and a few other children on a hunting trip. Seeing the many dead bodies of their pack members, the children ran straight towards their parents and friends, only to be caught in a trap and killed instantly. Destiny and her fiancee escaped, but were seperated. That day, Destiny took refuge in a nearby home only to find that it was inhabited by humans. In the form of a black wolf (from sadness), the boy of the house thought she was a stray puppy and asked his parents to keep her. The family's only concern was that she was already very big for a puppy and might be of wolf heritage, and they also found it strange that after a while, her fur changed from pitch black to pure snowy white, but the parents' thought the 'dog' was very sweet. The next day, the young boy, named Kyo, saw Destiny transform back to her natural appearance. Destiny didn't think it was a problem, but Kyo told her not to transform in front of his parents so she could keep staying there. Destiny became Kyo's best friend, and Kyo became Destiny's best friend. Kyo's father began abusing Kyo after Kyo's mother died, and when Destiny was around 14, Destiny interfered and killed Kyo's father. Kyo had grown to hate his father and forgave Destiny. He told the police that a wolf had attacked his father and Destiny and Kyo went to live with Kyo's aunt.
